Our Mission

To educate the public about America's wild horses and the necessity to preserve and protect them on our public lands. We are a sanctuary for mustangs as well as an organization that focuses on learning, leadership and life lessons.

About Us

The Mustang Ambassador Program came out of our desire to impact the lives of people through mustangs and in turn create mustang advocates that will forever protect and preserve wild horses on our lands. Since the 1500’s when wild horses were reintroduced into North America by the Spanish, they have roamed our great country. Coming from the Spanish term “Mesteno” meaning “ownerless beast”, the mustang is America’s horse. We are a vast enough nation to have a horse of our very own, and it is rests within our hands and those of our children to protect this American legacy.

The programming we offer for youth and adults involves education on America's mustangs and what we can do for conservation of our wild horses.

At the heart of our educational programs we partner mustangs with area youth to provide a navigational tool (a map) for their lives and help them learn necessary leadership skills for success. Youth learn foundational principles of leadership throughout the program; they learn responsibility and work ethic (self-management) through the care and feeding of the animals; they learn how relationships with the horses which includes respect and empathy is necessary to building healthy relationships outside the arena; they learn about the importance of clear communication both with the horse and within human relationships; finally they gain an understanding of the importance of healthy problem solving and working out issues they may have.

The mission of ReelTime Animal Rescue is to promote animal wellness, provide education, and establish a funding channel for caregivers and organizations on the front lines of animal cruelty, wildlife rehabilitation and placement. The Mustang Ambassador Program receives 100% of the funds you donate to our organization via our direct donation link here:
