About Us

The farm, exotic and domestic animals at Farmhouse Animal & Nature Sanctuary come to us for many reasons. Everyone has their own story. While some of their stories may be a bit sad, why and how they joined us, whether they were abandoned, neglected, or their family simply couldn't care for them any longer, isn’t as important as how they will spend the rest of their lives… safe, loved and protected. The majority of these animals, especially those who are elderly or medically needy, will live out the remainder of their lives at the sanctuary while some will be adopted into forever homes. Our main goal is to ensure the safety and well-being of the animals in our care as well as to show them love. We continuously work on creating habitats and enclosures that will allow them to live in an environment as close to nature intended as possible. Our Teenwork volunteer program and Hands, hooves and Paws program brings the animals together one-on-one with volunteers giving the person a better understanding of what it takes to care for the specific animals at the sanctuary. We are working on offering educational programs geared to help at risk students and under-served youth and young adults. The focus will be to teach them a way of life caring for animals and nature with the intent of piquing their interest in pursuing a career in animal care/vet services and/or horticultural and landscape services. This program will benefit both the person and the animals with one on one attention and care. Our future goals include creating a foster program so that we can help more animals, creating an animal feed/hay bank to help our local community keep their pets when they are having a financial hardship and expanding our reach to help local wildlife through acquiring a wildlife rehab license.

The mission of ReelTime Animal Rescue is to promote animal wellness, provide education, and establish a funding channel for caregivers and organizations on the front lines of animal cruelty, wildlife rehabilitation and placement.
