Simba's Pride Nursery
Our Mission
At Simba’s Pride Nursery, we provide a safe and nurturing home for orphaned kittens, mama cats, and friendly strays in need. From bottle babies to playful adolescents, every cat receives individual love, socialization, and top-notch care in our home-based nursery. Once they’re healthy, happy, and ready, we match them with loving families through thoughtful, compassionate adoptions.
About Us
Simba's Pride Nursery (SPN) is a home-based, foster-focused nonprofit dedicated to giving vulnerable kittens and cats a safe place to heal, grow, and prepare for loving forever homes.
Founded in May 2025 by Eve Marquross-Parisee, with the support of her volunteer husband, Steven Parisee, the nursery was created in memory of their beloved cat, Simba, who passed away from FIP. His legacy lives on through every life that enters their home.
SPN specializes in caring for orphaned bottle babies, nursing mothers with kittens, abandoned litters, friendly stray cats, and other felines who need extra time, medical care, or socialization before adoption. Every cat receives individualized attention in a loving home environment where they can recover, build confidence, and simply learn what it feels like to be safe.
Rather than operating a traditional shelter, Simba's Pride Nursery focuses on providing compassionate, hands-on foster care, helping each cat thrive physically and emotionally. Every life deserves a chance, and we believe that with patience, kindness, and dedicated care, even the smallest or most vulnerable cats can have a bright future.
As the organization grows, SPN is also committed to becoming a trusted educational resource for cat owners, fosters, rescuers, and the community. Through free online resources, social media, workshops, and practical guidance, we aim to share evidence-based knowledge about kitten care, neonatal fostering, behavior, health, responsible pet ownership, trap-neuter-return (TNR), and animal welfare. By empowering people with reliable information, we hope to improve the lives of cats far beyond those we care for directly and help create stronger, more compassionate communities for both people and animals.
