Hozho Horsemanship

Our Mission
Our mission is sharing the healing power of horses with the community while also making dreams come true by getting every family in the saddle, no matter their budget.

About Us
We are deeply passionate about the mental, physical, emotional, & spiritual wellbeing of all creatures & people around us. Walking in Hózhó is the Navajo word for the Dinè (the holy people- Navajo Nation) way of life which is walking in unity, harmony, love, honor & peace with all things around us as we are all interconnected as one - back to ONE source - Great Spirit/Creator (God, a higher power etc)
Navajo & Cherokee traditional ways believe Horses are gifts given to us humans by Creator meant to help us, protect us, teach us, & to be our companions as we are kindred in spirit to horses. We are like soul relatives to the horses therefore they are our family members. Science has shown that horses are highly emotionally intelligent animals, capable of feeling human emotions from up to 6 feet away. This is why they make such great therapy partners to help people heal or find balance & harmony in their life.
We use this knowledge & a passion for rescuing horses to help teach children, teens, and adults on the autism spectrum as well as anyone battling mental health challenges, PTSD, Trauma, grief, or addiction recovery, core life tools of mindfulness & meditation techniques combined with breath work & advice on how to eat healthy to make your food become your mood; all based off of Navajo & Cherokee traditional medicine. We also have a small at risk youth outreach program that gets kids off the streets & in the saddle. Our biggest goal is to not only share the healing power of the horses & teach people how to be “Horse Whisperers” but also to teach people how to live off of the land, implementing an agricultural foundation as part of the core of our mission. As of now our main focus is organizing & spreading awareness that we even exist, so that we can get an outreach to help more people in our communities. We serve multiple counties in The greater Houston, Galveston, & Brazoria areas. From Galveston, to Dickinson & League City, Pearland, Texas City, La Marque, Alvin, Santa Fe, and the city of Houston we do our best to be available to everyone we can reach! Our biggest effort will be to have multiple home bases in multiple counties with licensed psychiatric specialists & health & wellness practitioners, yoga instructors, reiki healers, therapeutic art & music teachers, & agricultural specialists on board working alongside each other on ranches we turn into homestead intentional communities.
