My name is Amy Kerwin, and my journey into primate advocacy began over 20 years ago when I was working in a biomedical research lab. What I witnessed there changed the course of my life. I knew I had to be part of the solution, to help monkeys retire to loving, enriched environments after their years of service in laboratories. That vision became Primates Incorporated, a nonprofit sanctuary I founded to give monkeys from research facilities and the pet trade a chance to live out their lives with dignity, care, and freedom.
