Our Mission
Texas Best Choices, aka TBC Animal Rescue, was created in 2003 as a primarily volunteer-run, no-kill animal rescue. We became 501c3 in 2006. Located in Hunt County in NE Texas, we are called to rescue and rehabilitate homeless and helpless dogs and pups, helping each to find a carefully matched permanent and loving home through adoption. We accept all breeds to reduce the large numbers going to the nearest city shelter, which has a high euthanasia rate. Our mission is to educate the community on humane care, spay & neuter, and promote an overall appreciation of companion animals. Our 22-acre site is home to sanctuary dogs that will have a home, and highly adoptable dogs and pups patiently waiting for their furever homes.
About Us
We are currently a Limited Intake facility. Most shelters in Texas are full but we are NO KILL. We struggle with dumps and abandoned animals but try to save as many as possible. We have become a sanctuary for animals that are hard to adopt or who have been overlooked for too long. They can stay with us as long as needed to find their best home. We fully vet each animal prior to adoption. upon intake, we vaccinate, worm, test for Heartworms and treat accordingly, assess their overall health and any behavior issues. We have healthy dogs as they do not live in small cages and they have playmates to promote happy pups!
The mission of ReelTime Animal Rescue is to promote animal wellness, provide education, and establish a funding channel for caregivers and organizations on the front lines of animal cruelty, wildlife rehabilitation and placement.
