Carl E Dahl House
Our Mission
A Place Where Humans and Animals Grow Stronger. Together.
About Us
The Carl E. Dahl House at Evergreen Grove serves dual purposes that focus on bringing together souls in need, both people and animals. Our 115-acre farm operates as a livestock rescue program that is sanctuary for horses, goats, sheep, pigs, alpacas, donkeys, chickens, turkeys, and of course our critically endangered Newfoundland Ponies. On our farm sits the Carl E. Dahl house which is a 16-bed residential treatment program for adult men diagnosed with co-occurring substance use and mental health disorders. Our human residents take part in a full clinical treatment plan during their stay with us, which can be anywhere from 6-12 months. Interwoven into that plan are responsibilities related to the care of our amazing animals. Through this relationship, our participants learn accountability, resiliency, self-esteem, selflessness, and more. Our animals return the favor with bonding, gratitude, and companionship. They also welcome our residents without an ounce of stigma or shame that they have battled with for so long as a result of their struggles.
The mission of ReelTime Animal Rescue is to promote animal wellness, provide education, and establish a funding channel for caregivers and organizations on the front lines of animal cruelty, wildlife rehabilitation and placement. The Carl E. Dahl House receives 100% of the funds you donate to our organization via our direct donation link here:
